LAKEWOOD — Boulder finished sixth at the 5A Region 3 wrestling tournament held at Bear Creek High School with a team score of 99.5.

By placing in the top four in their respective brackets, the Panthers will send five wrestlers to next week’s state championships.

Babalu Jones, Axel Wessell and Jack Sober finished second at 106, 182 and 220.

Boulder’s Connor Murtha and Hans Lehndorff also qualified for state with fourth-place finishes at 132 and 285.

The state championships run Thursday-Saturday at the Pepsi Center.
