ELDORA — Nederland Alpine skiing ace Dayna Larsen led the way for the Panthers at their home giant slalom race at Eldora Mountain Resort on Friday.

Larsen, the defending state champ, placed second in a field of 98 girls to pace four Panthers in the top 10 on the girls side.

Bailey Kuechenmeister took sixth, Raina Galbiatti was ninth and Kyle Robbins finished 10th for the NHS girls.

Team results weren’t available Friday night, though NHS coach said the girls team race appeared to be between her team and Steamboat Springs.

Owen Foster led the Nederland boys with a 13th-place effort in a 114-racer field. Drew Turner took 20th, and River Harris was 29th despite having to hike back to a gate on his first run.
