RB — JOSE FRAIRE, Sr., Broomfield: The power back rushed for 1,183 yards and 21 touchdowns to balance the Eagles’ aerial attack.
RB — DEMETRIUS KENNEDY, Jr., Boulder: Got the tough yards and also had breakaway ability, rushing for 985 yards and eight scores.
RB — JARED MESCHKE, Sr., Monarch: Led the area with 1,551 rushing yards and also scored 20 touchdowns to lead the Coyotes into the 4A semifinals.
WR — MAX McCADDON, Sr., Niwot: A big, versatile receiver, averaged more than 18 yards per catch and scored seven touchdowns as the Cougars’ most dangerous threat on offense.
WR — RYAN RANKIN, Sr., Silver Creek: As Apodaca’s top target, made his own mark on the state’s charts with 76 grabs for 1,307 yards and 18 scores.
TE — WYATT KNECHTEL, Sr., Silver Creek: Using his Division-I frame, caught 43 passes for 615 yards and six TDs.
OL — LEVI CAMPBELL, Sr., Lyons: Athletic enough to play all over the field and gritty enough to pave the way for LHS’ rushing attack, he was a star on both sides of the ball during a 1A semifinal run.
OL — CHICO FELTENBERGER, Sr., Skyline: The 6-4, 300-pound bruiser has opportunities to do football and track and field (throws) both in college.
OL — JOSH HURST, Jr., Monarch: Two 1,000-yard backs didn’t get there themselves. Hurst helped clear a path.
OL — MARCUS JOHNSON, Jr., Longmont: At 6-4, 275, he could be the next great Trojans lineman.
OL — SEVRIN REMMO, Sr., Fairview: The 6-4, 275-pounder holds scholarship offers from Northern Colorado and Air Force.
OL — BEN WOO CHING, Sr., Silver Creek: A two-way star on both lines, the 6-0, 300-pounder has been one of the best in the area for three years running.
K — FORREST DONNELL, Sr., Lyons: A touchback machine on kickoffs, he hit 10 field goals during the season and has the tools to kick or run track in college.
KR — CAMERON McWEE, Sr., Legacy: One of the area’s most dangerous receivers as well, he averaged 24 yards per kick return and 14.5 per punt return, taking two to the house.
ATH — JORDAN MELANI, Sr., Lyons: Did it all for the Lions, rushing, passing and wreaking havoc on the D-line to lead Lyons’ campaign.
DL — TRACE GRAY, Sr., Silver Creek: The 6-3, 225-pound defensive end racked up nine sacks and was third on the team in tackles for the 3A runners-up.
DL — JORDAN KING, Sr., Frederick: Piled up 12 sacks and picked off a pair of passes, including one for a score in a 3A state quarterfinal victory.
DL — ANDREW McLEAN, Jr., Broomfield: Eclipsed 100 tackles in the trenches and registered 71/2 sacks during the Eagles’ 4A quarterfinal season.
DL — MAX NEWEY, Sr., Fairview: Sacked the quarterback 11 times and was second on the team in tackles for a solid defensive unit.
DL — AUSTIN YURKO, Sr., Legacy: Led an always physical Lightning squad in tackles while playing inside. Also had 61/2 sacks and blocked three kicks.
LB — CRIS CHACON, Sr., Longmont: Led Longmont in tackles during the team’s 11-1 campaign and forced four fumbles.
LB — JACK MADDEN, Sr., Fairview: A hard hitter on both sides of the ball, led the Knights in tackles, force four fumbles and recovered a pair.
LB — KRISTIAN NIEMI, Sr., Broomfield: Did it all, finishing third on the team in tackles, tallying three sacks and intercepting a pair of passes.
LB — KC RIVERA, Jr., Frederick: A bruising fullback on offense, was the heart and soul of a defense that carried the Warriors to the 3A state semifinals.
LB — TRAVIS SCHLUETER, Sr., Monarch: The hybrid end/outside backer helped lead a Coyote group that allowed just 8.8 points per game.
DB — ABEL BROWN, Sr., Boulder: Led the Panthers in tackles and forced three fumbles as one of the hardest hitters around.
DB — COLIN BROWN, Sr., Fairview: Picked off six passes and recovered a pair of fumbles to lead the charge in the back for the Knights.
DB — JORDAN JOHNSON, Sr., Longmont: Picked off four passes and was third on the team in tackles for the Trojans.
DB — WES MOON, Sr., Monarch: The big, powerful safety picked off a pair of passes and was third on the team in tackles.
