Snowfall from Friday night into Saturday has forced the postponement of all Boulder Valley School District high school athletic events Saturday, although St. Vrain events remained active as of 10:30 a.m.

That includes the Silver Creek football team’s matchup with Windsor in the Class 3A championship game, which will kick off at Legacy Stadium in Aurora at 2:30 p.m.

“Why would we do that?” Colorado High School Activities Association assistant commisioner Bert Borgmann said when asked if he considered scrapping any of today’s four football title games. “This is a perfect day for football.”

Those unable to attend the 3A game can stream it live at CHSAA.tv.

This marks a reversal of Thursday, when BSVD events remained active and St. Vrain schools canceled events because of snow. Included in today’s BVHS postponements was the all-day Mike Stanley Invitational wrestling tournament at Fairview.
