Niwot’s softball team, ranked No. 5 in Class 4A, suffered its first loss, 2-0 against the fifth-ranked team in 5A, Brighton. Both pitchers — Niwot’s Nickie Blue and Brighton’s Paxton Duran — took perfect games into the fifth inning. “It was a great game for this early in the year,” Niwot coach Bobby Matthews said.
Alexander Dawson’s golf team posted the five best individual scores in Monday’s Mile High League event at Murphy Green Golf Course.
