2017 All-region girls basketball team

 

First team

Peyton Carter, Sr., Monarch — Colorado-bound point guard wrapped up her brilliant MoHi career as team's leading scorer (15.8 ppg), distributor (3.1 apg) and defender (2.1 spg).

Jasmine Jeffcoat, Sr., Monarch — The senior post boasted career high averages in every category including assists, had 12 double-doubles and five games with 14 or more rebounds.

Kayla Noble, Sr., Silver Creek — Noble earned the Northern League player of the year honors after averaging 17.3 points, 3.3 assists and 4 steals a game. She scored 20 or more points 10 different times.

Ashley Panem, Jr., Fairview — The BoCoPreps.com player of the year was a model of consistency shooting for a guard (46 percent) and had an incredible second half as the Knights made the 5A Sweet 16.

Denali Pinto, Jr., Fairview — The junior seems to sneak into areas where she was least suspected, notching 15.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while frequently defending the opposition's best players.

Coach — Bill Bradley, Monarch — His "Magnificent Seven" played one of the state's toughest schedules and never were completely overmatched as the Coyotes went 16-7. Defensively MHS allowed just 38 points a game.

Second team

Abby Croell, Sr., Broomfield — Croell embraced her status as a first-time starter, finishing the season with averages of 10.7 points and 7.2 rebounds.

McKayley Green, Jr., Erie — Finished 21st in 4A scoring average at 14 points a game and totaled seven double-doubles for the Tigers.

Isabelle Hren, Jr., Holy Family — A valuable player by anyone's standards, Hren led 19-6 HFHS in every single statistical category this year.

Silver Creek’s Kayla Noble averaged 17.3 points, 3.3 assists and 4 steals a game this season.

Brooke Jones, Sr., Centaurus — Jones excelled for the Northern League champs (14.2 ppg in league games) and also posted 15 points and 14 boards in a first-round playoff win.

Grace O'Neill, Sr., Fairview — Finished eighth in 5A scoring average at 18.2 points per game and provided the tough inside-outside player Fairview needed.
