The Colorado High School Activities Association legislative council meets Thursday morning in Aurora, with a number of notable items on the agenda.

Among them are:

-- A proposal to classify as an athletic-motivated transfer any move by an athlete to a school where one of his or her former coaches (club or school, head coach or assistant) is currently coaching.

-- A proposal to reduce the number of regular season basketball games in Class 4A and 5A from 23 to 19.

-- A proposal to increase the number of softball regular season games from 19 to 23.

-- A proposal to increase the length of regular season soccer overtime periods from 5 minutes each to 10 each.

-- A proposal to move the 3A football title game from a neutral site to a home site.

-- A proposal in 5A football to grant higher-seeded teams the right to host throughout the playoffs. Another proposal by the Southwestern and Colorado Springs Metro leagues attempts to block this change.

The meeting will be aired live online at and archived on the site for later viewing.

Silver Creek infielder Macy Child signed recently to play softball at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff.

Child broke the school stolen base record for a single season with 24 last fall while hitting .360 and helping the Raptors to a 17-6 season and state tournament berth.
