Fairview gets a shot at defending its home tournament crown after overcoming a sluggish first half Wednesday night against Liberty.

The Knights blew open a tight game at halftime to walk off the court with a 62-51 win in the Fairview Festival semifinals.

The Knights went on a 22-8 run on the Lancers out of halftime and from there stayed steady for the remainder of the game. Brent Wrapp was the team's most potent offensive weapon, finishing the night with 19 points, eight of them coming at the free-throw stripe.

Fairview faces Class 4A's sixth-ranked Broomfield in the championship at 8 p.m. Friday, a match up Wrapp said he is looking forward to.

"I've played with a lot of those guys on my club team," he said. "It should be a good game."
