Katie Coleman was not sure where her lacrosse career was going to land until last weekend. Then a trip to watch Regis University play at home sealed the deal.

"I verbally committed to them on Saturday after the game," the Legacy High senior said. "And made it final today. It's been pretty exciting."

Coleman -- who plays for fourth-ranked Centaurus, since her high school does not field a team -- expects to play in the Rangers backfield to start. But the Warriors defenseman/midfielder believes she would be comfortable anywhere, as long as she can make an impact.

"I've played everywhere, even though I'm most familiar with the defense," she said. "We'll just have to see where it goes when I get there."
