Maggie Berry, Sr., Dawson: Intellectual Mustangs senior didn't lose a match, let alone a set all season en route to a title at No. 3 singles in Class 3A.

Angela Cai, Sr., Fairview: A 14-1 regular season and a state quarterfinal appearance at No. 2 singles for easily one of the most versatile players to go through the Knights system.

Sophie Pearson, So., Fairview: Stepped up to the No. 1 role for the Knights and had a remarkable season that ended with a tough three set loss in the state quarterfinals.

Julia Pentz, Jr., Niwot: Rallied back from a tough three-set loss in the 4A No. 2 singles semis to finish third in Pueblo.

Ellie Savage, Sr., Fairview: Placed fourth at No. 3 singles in Class 5A in her first season playing alone.

Trisha Somasundaram, So., Peak to Peak: Pumas No. 1 player will only continue to get better, and will enter junior season with loads of confidence after strong semifinal showing at 3A state tournament.

Taylor Thulson, Jr., Niwot: A stalwart at the top of the Cougars ladder, lost a three-set match in the Class 4A quarterfinals.

Denali Pinto, Jr./Katie Hirasaki, Jr., Fairview: Knights' most consistent doubles team placed fourth at the No. 2 position at Gates Tennis Center in Denver.


Jewel Ng, Jr./Tehnley White, Fr., Niwot: The Cougars No. 1 duo lost in the quarterfinals in Pueblo but battled back to earn fourth place.

Leah Schwartz, Sr./Camilla Ruiz, Sr., Holy Family: Became the first Tigers tandem to ever win a state title when they captured the No. 3 crown in Greeley.

Coach of the year -- Kathy Benninghoff, Dawson School: Her team found a home in the 3A ranks and she guided them to a runner-up finish in the inaugural state tournament.
