Boulder High is in the market for new head coaches for both its boys and girls golf programs after girls coach Becky Clark resigned just before the holiday break.
BHS athletic director Melissa Warfield said Wednesday that the girls job will be posted until Jan. 16, and that she hopes to have it filled by the end of the month. Spring sports may begin practice on Feb. 25. With boys golf in the fall, that hiring might not be quite as urgent, though Warfield is taking applications.
Clark, who led the girls team for three years, left to become a club pro at Haystack Mountain Golf Course, adding that to her duties as co-owner of Leonard's Golf, an indoor instruction facility in Erie. She said Wednesday that she hopes to stay involved with the Panthers when timing allows.
Former boys coach Jim Kozlowski was placed on administrative leave in August just before the season began and pled guilty in December to an indecent exposure charge, a deal that prohibits him from working with children for two years. BHS baseball coach Steve Disbrow led the boys team on an interim basis in the fall, guiding the Panthers to their first team state tournament berth in 17 years.
Candidates for both positions should contact Warfield at 720-561-5315 or email@example.com.
