Returning state qualifiers: Mick Bartholomew (Sr., 200 IM, 100 breast); Jack Braymiller (So., 100 breast); Will McCurdy (Sr., 100 back); Chris Nicholson (Sr., 100 fly, 100 back); Quinton Pierce (So.); Nathan Rock (Jr., 200 free, 500 free); PJ Stapleton (Sr., 50 free, 100 fly); Jack Studebaker (Jr., 50 free, 100 free); Bryce Thom (Jr., 100 breast).

Others to watch: Philip Calitre (So., breast); Ozzie Davis (Fr., breast); Grant Freeman (Fr., fly); Henry Maier (Jr., free); Colin Pendergast (So., breast); Mason Pendergast (So., free); Ben Webb (Sr., free).

Outlook: Emily Sampl takes over the reigns from longtime coach Curt Colby and said: "We lost a talented group of seniors last year but still have solid depth and a strong freshman class. The boys got a taste of how good they can be last season and they're hungry for more."

Coach: Emily Austin (19th season).

Last year: Finished 21st at Class 5A state meet.

Returning state qualifiers: Daniel Brindzik (Sr., relays); Austin Crump (Jr., 100 fly, 200 free); Ryan Davis (So., relays); Jacob Hahn (Jr., 100 back); Zach Hudson (Jr., relays); Bo St. Onge (So., relays).

Others to watch: Sam Anderson (Fr., breast); Sam Hahn (Fr., back).

Outlook: The Eagles made the jump to 5A and for the first time in a long time, Austin and Co. didn't really know what to expect heading in. Crump will have a chance to do big things for the Eagles, who should improve on last years first go-round in Colorado Springs.

Coach: Amy Webb (4th season).

Last year: Finished 5th at Class 5A state meet.

Returning state qualifiers: Breyden Fano (Jr., 100 free); Ilya Fedorchuk (Sr., 200 IM, 500 free); Kailash Graham-Bell (Sr., 50 free, 100 free); Ray Guthrie (Sr., 200 free, 100 fly); Duncan Lester (Jr., diving); Justin Li (Jr., 50 free, 100 free); Kyle Mak (So., 100 back); Walker Martin (Jr., 50 free, 100 free); Blake Manoff (So., 100 fly, 100 back); Benji Morris (Sr. 200 IM, 100 breast); Garrett Sooter (Sr. 200 free, 500 free); Michael Zarian (Jr., 200 IM, 500 free).

Outlook: The Knights are good. That never seems to change and the quality of swimmers, including Zarian — a state champion in the 500 free — is deep. Fairview is always a top-five contender and they have the strength to maintain their statewide position near the top.

Coach: Tony Helfrich (5th season).

Last year: Finished 26th at Class 5A state meet.

Returning state qualifiers: Greg Allan (Sr., 200 free, 100 free); Daniel Bradford (Jr., 200 IM, 500 free); Andrew Jaschke (Sr., 200 IM, 100 breast); Alex Nielsen (Jr., 200 free, 500 free); Andrew Otterson (Sr., 100 breast).

Outlook: Said LeGault: "Excited for the season. We have some new talent coming in and those skills will compliment the current talent we have on the team. Our divers are set to make a big impact and it will be great to see each student-athlete succeed this season."

Coach: Amber Sullivan (2nd season).

Returning state qualifiers: Nate Johnson (Jr., 100 breast, relays); Jack Lacy (Sr., 100 back, relays).

Others to watch: Justin Darr (Fr., free, breast); Alan Ferrera (Jr., free); Tanner Filion (Fr., fly, free); Ethan Glenn (Fr., IM, free, fly); Aidan Jones (Fr., free, breast); Jonah Munoz (Fr., free, fly); Peter Starbuck (Sr., free); Brandon Wallace (Jr., IM, back); Danny Weinstock (Sr., free).

Outlook: Only lost a couple of impactful swimmers to graduation last year, even stronger returning upperclassmen that were close to qualifying for state last year who have spent the off season training hard and competing in other sports (club swimming, tennis, wrestling, cross country) along with a very talented, experienced group of freshman who are capable of competing and swimming almost any event very well will provide us great options and add depth to our team, lineups, and relays.

Others to watch: Ashton Hubert (So., diving); Yusef Nammari (Sr., 50 free); Matthew Teta (Fr., diving); Rohan Volkmann (Sr., 50 free, 100 back).

Outlook: The Raptors have established themselves as a top 10 program in the state. Said Stewart: "We are very excited about how strong our middle swimmers are looking. This will really help the team with some solid depth in a lot of the events. Should be a good year for the team. Looking forward to seeing how the season will unfold for the year."
