Sitting with a .500 record through six games, the Fairview baseball team has been hot and cold to start the 2016 season.

But on Monday, they were hot, red hot. The kind of hot that allowed the Knights (3-3) to out-slug the No. 1-ranked Regis Jesuit Raiders (5-2) on their way to a 21-15 victory.

In the high-scoring affair, the Knights hit double digits in runs by the fourth inning and led 13-8 to start the fifth. Tyler Carpenter picked up the win on the mound and drove in four runs at the plate. Matt Erickson got the save in relief.

The Knights will look to ride their upset momentum when they travel to face Poudre on Saturday.
