Coach: Roger Dufour

Record (tournament seed): 15-6 (4A No. 7 seed)

First round opponent: No. 10 Mullen (14-8)

Outlook: After losing back to back games to Holy Family and Erie in mid-September, Frederick has been sizzling with an 8-1 record and 101 runs scored since. The Warriors have a strong core of players that have accumulated a .403 team batting average, and leading the way are the speedy Tori Dufour (.481, 17 steals) and Madalyn Massey (.480, 20 steals), although three other full time players are hitting better than .400. The Warriors have relied on a few girls for pitching the past two seasons, but Makenna Goodard has led the way with a 3.65 ERA and eight wins — including the complete game victory over Ponderosa in the regional championship game this past Saturday. Mullen is tested, playing in the 5A/4A Centennial League, but the Mustangs can be described as a light-hitting team (.315 team average, 147 runs in 22 games). Marissa Sanchez (9-6, 3.28 ERA) leads the way in the circle.
