Niwot announced today that Saturday's regular season football finale against visiting Grand Junction is back on.
The game was originally cancelled because Grand Junction High School was dealing with a tragedy and "coaches, players and administrators" at the school determined playing the game wasn't in the players best interest at the time.
But after further consideration, the Tigers decided they wanted to play and the game is back on at it's original time and location, 1 p.m. Saturday at Everly Montgomery Field.
Niwot is dealing with issues of its own as head football coach Dylan Hollingsworth was arrested for assaulting a student on Friday morning. Hollingsworth is on administrative leave. Interim coach Scott Thomas will lead the Cougars on Saturday.
