(3) Windsor at (2) Longmont

Kickoff: Saturday, 1 p.m., Everly Montgomery Stadium

Records: Windsor 11-1, Longmont 12-0

Last week: Windsor defeated Palmer Ridge 20-14; Longmont defeated Denver South 48-14

Quick hits: Back on Oct. 15, Eli Sullivan hauled in a 45-yard touchdown pass from freshman Oakley Dehning with six seconds left and then Conlan Berger finished the 2-point conversion to beat the Wizards 8-7, stay unbeaten and all but wrap up the Long's Peak League just two games into the league slate. ... They had beaten Loveland, the third of the Long's Peak League teams in the semifinals (they face top-seeded Pine Creek), the week before. ... The Trojans have been clicking on all cylinders over the last two weeks, dispatching of both Pueblo South and Denver South by a combined 106-35. ... Longmont, which got senior quarterback David Speidel back in a starting role against Pueblo South, will do what it does so well offensively and play ground-and-pound football against a Wizards team that held them to 170 yards on the ground in the first meeting.

... Berger accounted for 117 of those yards. ... The Longmont defense will have to stay disciplined against the run-oriented Wizards and quarterback Brad Peeples. ... Peeples has rushed for over 1,200 yards this season, but was limited to just 72 yards on 24 carries in October. ... Windsor senior Landon Schmidt made the most of nine carries in the first meeting, going for 108 yards. ... The winner will meet on Sat. Dec. 5 against the winner of the Pine Creek-Loveland game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. ... If it is Longmont against Pine Creek, it will be a rematch of last years title game and the Trojans will have the task of trying to stop the Eagles' 38-game win streak.
