Centaurus pulled off the upset over the no. 8 Raptors for their first win of the season. The Warriors gained a 16-0 lead and were able to withstand a fourth quarter rally from Silver Creek.


Longmont 54, Northridge 29

Longmont used an explosive first half offense to blow out Northridge and improve to 5-3 on the season. The Trojans scored 47 of their 54 points in the first half. Their offense was led by running back Drake Engelking, who ran for four touchdowns, and quarterback Oakley Dehning threw for two more and 175 yards through the air. Sage Yazzie was his favorite target, grabbing four catches for 104 yards.

Defensively, Longmont forced four Northridge turnovers.

Holy Family clinched the Tri-Valley League title with a 3-0 win over second-place Windsor on Thursday. They have won 15 matches in a row and are 13-0 in TVL play. Ranked no. 3 in 4A, they'll host no. 5 Niwot on Monday in what is sure to be an entertaining non-league matchup.

Niwot, meanwhile, sits atop the Northern League standings at 13-1, 16-2 overall. Longmont is right behind them at 12-2 in league play, 17-2 overall.


Lyons wrapped up their regular season with a 3-0 win over Twin Peaks on Thursday and are waiting to find out their playoff opponent. They are currently ranked no. 3 in 2A at 15-4 overall.


Dawson School pounded Bishop Machebeuf 9-0, getting four goals and three assists from Jesse Isenhart.

Boulder picked up it's ninth consecutive victory, pounding rival Fairview 4-0 at Recht Field on Saturday. The win allowed the Panthers to end the season tied with Fort Collins atop the Front Range League with a 10-1-1 mark (the two teams battled to a 1-1 draw on Sept. 7).
