Players to know -- Monarch: Running backs Ethan Marks (No. 7) and Kidd Soole (No. 34) lead the way for the methodical Coyotes rushing attack. Linebacker Colin Hart (No. 24), meanwhile, helps anchor the defense. Pueblo West: Running back Derek Jackson (No. 4) has piled up 3,149 rushing yards, just 267 shy of the all-time state record.

Quick hits -- This is a rematch of the 2007 4A state title game won by Pueblo West. ... Monarch is trying to reach the title game for the third time in program history. The Coyotes were state champions in 2002. ... Monarch is outscoring foes by an average of 36-11, while Pueblo West is doing so at a 39-18 clip. ... Linebacker Andre Apodaca (No. 5) has piled up 137 tackles. Conifer: Juniors Matthew McClintock (No. 27) and AJ Eleniewski (No. 1) have both eclipsed the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season. Senior Drake Weber (No. 42) has 14 sacks.

Quick hits -- Silver Creek is trying to reach the state title game for the second year in a row. The Raptors lost to Windsor in last year's championship matchup 14-7. ...
