6 players to watch

TAYLOR DORANS, Jr., Broomfield: Last year's Northern League player of the year took sixth at state and is the leader of a state-contending Eagles group.

KELLY MORAN, Jr., Fairview: Placed in the top 30 at state last year for a Knights squad that was sixth as a team at state.

SARAH HANKINS, So., Legacy: After taking 19th place at 5A state last year, the sophomore figures to make waves atop the Front Range League.

ELISE KINNEY, Jr., Monarch: Maybe the top candidate to lead the Coyotes on a team that lost six seniors to graduation.

LINNEA DANIELSON, Jr., Peak to Peak: Won multiple league meets last year and could be ready for a breakthrough after a middle-of-the-pack finish at state.

DANIELLE MERCURE, Skyline: The Falcons program is loaded with tradition. The question is who will carry the torch this year. Mercure is the top returner.
