The Boulder volleyball team felt it was ready to start turning the corner this season under second-year coach Angela Sultzer.

So far, so good.

The Panthers are off to a 6-2 start, giving them the third best record among Front Range League teams as the conference slate begins Thursday. Boulder opens league play at Fort Collins already boasting as many victories as it amassed all of last season.

After a 1-1 start to the season, the Panthers reeled off four wins in five matches at the Overland tournament to take first place. A home victory versus Overland on Tuesday pushed their win streak to four.

The Panthers also got a measure of revenge to open the season, winning in four games over a Denver East squad that had done the reverse to Boulder last season.
