Former Fairview boys basketball player Brent Wrapp had plenty of special moments throughout his prep career with the Knights.
Wrapp has had a few more since then. And he's about to have another, a big one.
In the Western Athletic Conference championship game, Wrapp was right there when teammate Dedrick Basile hit a game-winning 3-pointer to give Cal State University-Bakersfield a 57-54 win over New Mexico State and the conference title. The win also sent the Roadrunners to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the program moved to Division-I for the 2007-08 season.

A No. 15 seed, the Roadrunners will face No. 2 Oklahoma in the first round of the tournament in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Friday. Wrapp, who is second on the team in minutes per games, figures to see plenty of action.
As a redshirt freshman point guard last year, Wrapp led the Roadrunners with 111 assists and his 2.6 assist-to-turnover ratio was the best in the Western Athletic Conference. This year, Wrapp again leads the Roadrunners with 4.6 assists per game and is second on the team with 40 steals.
His senior season at Fairview in 2012-13, Wrapp averaged 16.4 points, 6.7 assists and 3.1 steals per game.
